Calgary Courts Centre closure – what you need to know


Power outage shuts down Calgary courthouse

The Calgary Courts Centre will re-open Friday, October 17 and will be operational for Albertans with matters at the courthouse.

An underground fire at an electrical substation has caused a power outage in Calgary’s downtown core including the courthouse.

The Calgary Courts Centre will be closed on October 14, 15 and 16.

Dates have been rescheduled and are available on the Alberta Courts website. Albertans with matters at the court centre scheduled for these dates are urged to visit the site.

The following numbers have been set up for Albertans to call for more information.

Provincial Court
For Provincial Court inquires please call 403-476-4819 and 403-592-4933.

Court of Queen’s Bench
For Queen’s Bench inquiries please call 403-297-7235.
View scheduling information online

All other courthouses across the province will be open and operational during this time.
