RCMP K Division appoints Criminal Operations Officer

RCMP announced today that Chief Superintendent Marlin Degrand has been appointed the Criminal Operations Officer for the division. Degrand has been with the RCMP since 1987 and has worked in Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia.

His work in Alberta includes roles as Career Development Services Officer, Superintendent in command of Western Alberta District and Senior Police Liaison Officer. In 2011, C/Supt. Degrand was promoted to the rank of Chief Superintendent and assumed the role of Deputy Criminal Operations Officer – Integration and Specialized Investigations. This position oversees all federal operations, integrated policing initiatives within ALERT (Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams) and the Serious Crimes Branch.
